2. Subject matter of data protection

The subject matter of data protection is personal data (GDPR Art. 4(1)). This comprises information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, such as names, identification numbers, or online identifiers.

3. Collection and use of your data

3.1. Automated data collection

When you use our app, technical data is transmitted for functional reasons:

  • Date and time of access,

  • Device type and operating system version,

  • IP address (truncated for privacy).

3.2. Google Drive Integration (Cloud Services)

To allow you to decompress files from or compress files to your cloud storage, UnZIP Master provides integration with Google Drive.

  • Access: We use Google OAuth to authenticate. The app only accesses specific files you select or requires permission to manage files within the app’s scope.

  • Data Usage: Our app’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • Storage & Privacy: We do not store your Google Drive credentials or your files on our servers. All file processing is performed locally on your device. We do not use data accessed via Google Drive for advertising or any other secondary purposes.

3.3. Support Requests

If you contact our support, we store the data you provide to resolve your request for 120 days. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1) point (b) and (f).

4. Third-Party Services and Advertising

To provide our service and ensure app stability, we use the following third-party providers. They may collect data such as advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID) or usage statistics:

  • AppLovin: Used to display advertisements. They may collect device-specific information to show relevant ads. AppLovin Privacy Policy.

  • Google Firebase Analytics: Used to understand how the app is used. Firebase Analytics Policies.

  • Google Firebase Crashlytics: Used to identify and fix technical errors and crashes. Firebase Crashlytics Terms.

  • Google LLC: To provide the Google Drive API infrastructure.

5. Transfer of data

Your personal data is only passed on in the following cases:

  1. Service Provision: To the processors listed in section 4 (AppLovin, Google, Firebase) to enable app functionality and advertising.

  2. Legal Requirements: If necessary for the investigation of illegal use or for prosecution (GDPR Art. 6(1) point (c) and (f)).

  3. User-Initiated: When you interact with Google Drive, data is transferred between your device and Google’s servers.

6. Erasure of your data

We erase or anonymize your personal data as soon as it is no longer needed:

  • Support requests: 120 days.

  • Analytics data: Usually 14 months.

  • Cloud Data: Since we do not store your Google Drive files on our servers, there is no cloud data to erase from our side. You can disconnect your Google account at any time within the app or in your Google security settings.

7. COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act)

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with data, we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as laws or technologies change. Updated versions will be posted within the app and become effective immediately upon posting.
